Mysterious ruins landscape environment work (mother colour principle) 4/11/19
This is a collection of environment artwork that I have produced over the course of 2019 both for my own development as an digital artist and my University projects. My research subject was into Visual development art and its impact on the overall animation design of the final film, as well as exploring some of the fundamentals of art. One of which being Mother colours a painting method for both digital and traditional artwork. The technique being that you use one colour to influence your colour palette and apply it to the artwork.

This was a method I used when I was learning to paint using grayscale to create my environment artwork. Another method was lighting and colour such as using the colour of the sun on the buildings and environments and the ground colour to influence the shadows in the environment. I would say my environment artwork has improved considerably over the past few months of 2019 and has given me better insight into visual development and digital artwork.

My other artworks were work my fellow classmates requested for their animation concept art such as stormy seas and 18th century pubs for their sea monster story or school corridors for another students work about a young kid with a dinosaur.

Painted in Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint pro.
